Wednesday Morning Pool Closure
There's a bit of grounds maintenance work scheduled
for Wednesday morning. Pool goers will need to wait
until 9:30 am for
access to the pool/spa area.
Wednesday Movies
Thanks to Jane and Eric Ellingson, Wednesday night movies
are back at the Ramada. This week's movie is Chariots
of Fire, winner of the 1981 Oscar for best picture.
A feel-good movie, it's based on the true story of
two very different men who compete as runners in the
1924 Paris Olympics. Show time is 7:00p.m.
Mom's Diner Debut Thursday
Mom's Diner is the theme of the hospitality event at the
Ramada on Thursday.
Enjoy homemade meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, gravy,
vegetables, apple pie and a few other surprises. The
beverage of your choice is included for just $8. Social
time begins at 4:30. Dinner begins at 5. After a few libations, Karaoke will no doubt bring out
the talents of many EE residents.
There will also be a raffle of mesquite items and an
auction of a pair of matching mesquite table lamps,
all made by Jim Copeland and Terry Shay. Proceeds will be
directed to Enhancement and will go to purchasing benches
for the common area parks in EE.
Pickleball Pizza Oven Party Planned
Mark your calendars for Monday, March 20th if
you're an EE pickleball participant. Meet at Shade Tree
Park (right next to the pickleball courts) at 11:00
am. Bring a chair, your beverage of choice and
an uncooked pizza that you're willing to share. The
brick oven will be fired up and ready for baking.
New Tennis Time
Friday tennis will now start at 8:30
am. Anyone who wants to play in this "for fun"
tennis group is welcome. The players go to
breakfast after tennis once per month.
New Pickleball Time
Pickleball will now start at 8:00
am on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Plavers of all skill levels are welcome.
Almost Monthly Board Meeting for March
The EE HOA Board is scheduled to meet at the Ramada
on Monday, March 20 at 1 pm. Mark
it on your calendar now.
Sorry, due to a limited
supply, there are only enough cushions for the first
250 homeowners who show up.
EE Home Tour
On Sunday, March 26th from 1-3 p.m. you'll
have a chance to tour some of EE's interesting homes
and find ideas for decorating your own. Decorating
styles range from traditional to modern, so there's
something for everyone's taste. A wine and cheese
party at the Ramada will follow the tour. Tickets
are $15 each, two for $25; purchase them at the
March 16th Hospitality event, or call Melodye
Cooke (336-8844), Jane Ellingson (625-7782)
or Louise McCabe (445-6237).
Tickets are limited, so buy yours soon.
EE Book Discussion Group
EE Book Discussion Group will meet April 4 at
the Ramada at 11:00 am to
discuss Reconstruction Amelia by Kimberly McCreight.
USA Today describes this book as one that makes
"readers fondly recall the days when kids got in
trouble for passing notes in class." The book moves
at the pace of Gone Girl and keeps the reader
guessing about what happened to Amelia until the
very end.
All are welcome--hope to see all interested readers!
No Foolin'--Hazardous Waste Event on April 1
GVC (the Green Valley Council) has announced its spring
Haz Waste collection event, set for Saturday
morning, April 1.
Send
E-mail to Lisa Coker at GVC (coker@gvcouncil.org) to be a volunteer at the event. Gather your
items if you've items to drop off.
